Has a drama ever been so good and so infuriating at teh same time? I still love this show, but I’m beginning to get a little frustrated with Jang-mi. We’re seeing some good forward movement with Gi-tae this week, but JM is still the same overly dependent, self-sacrificing and starved-for-affection/approval girl we saw in the first episode.
Not Getting Invited Sucks. Here’s How To Stop Taking It So Personally.

Carrie begins to feel that their marriage has lost its “sparkle” as Big enjoys spending nights eating in and watching TV. Big then suggests to Carrie they spend two days a week apart, to enjoy their own time, which he feels is what is giving their marriage new life. Carrie, somewhat hurt and resistant, reluctantly agrees, and then travels to Abu Dhabi https://loveexamined.net with Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda. While in Abu Dhabi, Carrie learns how important a marriage can be when her butler tells her how he is separated from his wife for months at a time, but when they see each other, nothing else matters. Carrie also reunites with her old flame, Aidan Shaw, whom she meets in a chance encounter at an Abu Dhabi market.
People who identify as asexual may not have sex with their partners at all. Although it may be tempting to ignore these issues and hope they go away on their own, it’s often more helpful to have an open, honest, and respectful talk with your spouse about your marriage trouble. It’s important that both you and your spouse feel heard, supported, and secure within the relationship. If one of the two parties wasn’t “feeling it,” the relationship pretty much ended there. If they both liked each other, it continued. At some point down the line, the relationship would either fizzle out, or it wouldn’t.
And honestly you could see the bitterness and the hate that she has for her own life there. I feel like KiTae’s mother is quietly seething that her life has come to this and on top of that, her husband is stepping out on her and doesn’t show her even half the attention he shows his mistress. But she just has to grin and put up with it because that’s what’s expected of her as a lady of this caliber.
In Summer and the City, Bernard Singer is a famous writer who Carrie has a brief relationship with, only to realise that Bernard doesn’t love Carrie and that she loves Capote Duncan. According to Candace Bushnell’s book, Summer and the City, Capote Duncan was Carrie’s classmate in The New School. At the beginning, Carrie hated him because of his arrogance but at the end of the book, it was said that he’s the person with whom Carrie lost her virginity. He appears briefly in Pilot of the TV series adaption, played by Jeffrey Nordling.
Unlike most Kdrama parents who are simply grabbing at power or control, KT’s mom is different to some degree. We hear JangMi narrate that her idea of a wedding dress is for the guy to say she looks pretty when he sees her…and that’s what YeoReum said. Jang-mi gets all calf-eyed when she tries the dress on, and has to remind herself that no matter how gorgeous the dress is, she has to stay sharp. She tells Mom that it’s boring and finds a short-short wedding dress, saying she wants to show off her great legs. She stands up to Mom’s insistence that the dress is inappropriate, and they have a stare-off. Jang-mi finds her mother recovering with her eyes bandaged, and when Ki-tae takes the bandages off, he’s all compliments while Jang-mi just gapes in horror.
Would love to see the answer to that question. I have been wondering what it meant as well, although I do not have any cultural knowledge. I don’t think KT’s mom is inherently evil like so many MIL’s – I think she is stuck so tight in her world view that she think it is the only “right” one, and can’t get out.
Jang-mi asks if he doesn’t have something for her like oh, maybe a ring, and when he shrugs she commands him to take the whole thing back. They can’t do even the most romantic things without fighting. He teases her out of her grump, but in voiceover Jang-mi says that back then, they never expected the worst life-twist that was ahead for their wedding. Recently, we asked our readers to send us a photo that more accurately represents what the night after the wedding was like for them. Some couples chose In-N-Out over pricey room service.
True that ep 7 and 8 were a bit of a letdown feels draggy and all but we get to see jangmi’s hidden feelings and all. I get that she was supposed to be outgoing but i guess sometimes you just want to be complimented so badly you momentarily fall into the sad candy category. Totally understandabe for jangmi, whos been through so much.
I love him so much , well not as much as I love Gi tae but he is so damn sexyy. People complain about his smile but his smile is adorable. But whatever I love dorky Gi tae morrrre than I love sexy Yeoreum. Anyway, that being said, I still like this drama. It definitely has its cute and funny moments still – loved them all playing around in the water – and I’m excited to see how things progress now that there are real feelings on both sides.
